Chess960 - Fischer random chess

Chess rules




Chess960 is a variation of the game of chess. Since it is invented by the World Champion Bobby Fischer it is also named as Fischer random chess. The most important difference is that the pieces on the home rank are randomized at the starting positions. The number of possible starting positions is 960. Generally software is used to generate the starting position.

         2 main rules are
         - The bishops must be placed on opposite-color squares.
         - The king must be placed on a square between the rooks..
